Wendy Taylor assumed leadership of the William Davidson Institute (WDI), a renowned non‑profit affiliated with the University of Michigan, as its President and CEO effective July 15, 2024. WDI specializes in driving market‑based solutions, entrepreneurship, and business growth in low‑ and middle‑income countries, leveraging research and training programs to support sustainable development.
Taylor is a recognized global innovation leader and entrepreneur, with over 20 years of experience spanning public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She previously served as Vice President of Technical Leadership & Innovation at Jhpiego, leading multicountry teams to scale health systems innovations across 43 nations. As a fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation, she advanced strategic deployments of artificial intelligence and digital health technologies to transform epidemic preparedness and response. During her tenure at USAID, she founded and led the Center for Innovation & Impact, a global accelerator applying business-minded frameworks to health and climate innovation adoption.
Wendy Taylor holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University and a B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.
